Our history

The story of the Classical Republican Party, from concept to creation.

The journey

In 2025, the Classical Republican Party was established in response to concerns about the expanding size and control of government.

The CRP has since grown into a grassroots political movement committed to protecting the rights and freedoms of individual citizens. From humble beginnings, the party has developed a clear vision, strong values, and a comprehensive policy platform.

Looking ahead, we aim to grow our membership, achieve official party status, and take our place in Australia's democratic process.

We look forward to seeing CRP representatives elected and confidently advancing our platform, helping return Australia to a nation where individual rights and freedoms are respected, valued, and protected.

Our founder

Stephen Lamble is the founder of the Classical Republican Party.

Born and raised in Brisbane, he has been shaped by personal experience, family history, and a deep concern for the country's direction. Influenced by his family's military service and its lasting impact, Stephen developed a strong belief in personal responsibility, fairness, and limits on government power.

He is passionate about protecting individual freedoms, strengthening community resilience, and restoring integrity to Australia's democratic institutions. Stephen's vision is for an Australia guided by moral principles, accountability, and genuine respect for the rights of everyday people.
